You Can Have Beautiful Photos Without Putting Your Baby’s Face Online

Many benefits of having your little ones photographed is so you can remember the tiny details of their little fingers, the sleepy snuggles and the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms. You want to the photos for yourself and your family but you see photographers posting baby's faces online and that's the part that makes you hesitant to book a session.

You don't want your baby's face on the internet and that's completely okay.

As a photographer, I believe you should never have to choose between beautiful memories and your family's privacy. Communication is extremely important before the photoshoot even happens. Sometimes the family wants to share photos but they prefer for the photos to be "faceless" which is a creative style where the face is blocked by an object or repositioning the child at an angle that obscures the face. Other times the parents want the normal photos where their children's faces are shown in the image but the image is blocked out online or simply not shown at all. Choosing which option is best for you and your family is a decsion completely up to you.

Your Baby Doesn't Have to Face the Camera

There are so many meaningful ways to photograph your baby without showing their face.

We can focus on the little details that you'll want to remember forever:

-Tiny fingers wrapped around yours

-Baby's toes

-The back of their head

-Those sweet newborn stretches

-Your baby curled up against your chest

-Mom kissing the top of baby's head

-Dad holding baby close

-Baby tucked into a favorite blanket

-Little hands reaching for Mom

-Your family's connection without needing a full-face portrait

These photographs can still tell your story beautifully.

Sometimes, the most emotional images aren't the ones where everyone is looking at the camera. They're the quiet moments happening between you and your baby.

You Don't Have to Post Anything

There is absolutely no requirement to share your images online.

If you're someone who loves having photographs but prefers to keep your family life private, I respect that.

At the end of the day, your gallery is yours and you get to decide which images are shared, where they're shared, and whether they're shared at all.

And if you'd prefer that your baby's face never appears on my website or social media, we can plan your session with that in mind.

We Can Be Intentional About Your Session

If you're worried about accidentally capturing images where your baby's face is visible, we can intentionally create photographs from different angles.

I can photograph your baby from behind, over your shoulder, close ups on their little details, or focused on the connection between you.

This doesn't mean your session has to feel limited.

In fact, it can encourage us to slow down and notice all of the tiny things that make this season so special like the way you hold your baby.

The way their hand rests on your chest.

The little curl of their fingers.

The soft hair at the back of their head.

The way Dad looks down at them.

Those are your memories, too.

Privacy Doesn't Mean Missing Out

I never want a mom to feel like she has to compromise her boundaries to get beautiful photographs.

If protecting your baby's privacy is important to you, I want to honor that.

You can have the tiny details and you can have the family portraits.

You can have the photographs that make you cry happy tears years from now while keeping your baby's face offline.

Photography isn't about what the internet gets to see.

It's about what your family gets to remember.

Your baby's childhood belongs to your family. You get to decide how much of it the world gets to see.
